We have been a close friend to UHBW’s comms team since 2012, supporting its pressured team on engagement campaigns to staff, patients and families. Our work with UHBW has been recognised by a number of other Trusts who we have gone onto support too.
Our work with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is a prototypical example of the value we can provide to busy and pressured comms teams in complex organisations. Such teams are responsible for engaging effectively with a myriad of target audiences, each with their own attendant sensitivities or contexts. What they need from a creative team is that they be up to speed quickly, understand the issue in context and generate and develop strategy-driven and effective ideas.
Our work in the NHS started with UHBW way back in 2012, so for them to still want us around is testament to our strong relationship. Our collaborative spirit, can-do attitude and impactful creative solutions for sometimes highly sensitive requirements is at the heart of that relationship. That is driven by a genuine, heartfelt desire to help the Trust do its vital work for the wider Bristolian community and to see public money spent wisely. That means making sure the work we do is effective.
The quality of our work for UHBW has been recognised by a number of other Trusts. In addition to Bristol, we have also supported Burton, Portsmouth, Somerset and Dorset Foundation Trusts through mergers, hospital closures, branding, CQC inspections, fundraising, green strategies and tackling violence against staff.
Just focusing on UHBW, for us it has to be one of the engagement campaigns that we devised. One of the most important was 2021’s poster campaign to deter violence against staff. Clearly an important issue, but the sensitivities around the subject were enormously complex. In the end, the resulting designs are hard hitting, underline the Trust’s support for its staff and speak in plain terms of the truths of the issue.
